  18. <p>     Granted, she was never the subject of three TV movies. But
  19. well-bred, well-read JEAN HARRIS was the original tabloid lady
  20. who loved too much. Now the fabled headmistress, imprisoned 12
  21. years ago for killing her former beau, Dr. Herman Tarnower, will
  22. soon go free. On the same day that Harris underwent heart
  23. surgery, she received the welcome news that New York Governor
  24. Mario Cuomo had accepted her fourth appeal for clemency. Harris,
  25. 69, a grade-A prisoner, hopes to retire to New Hampshire.
